Look, sir, droids!

Scott Walker remixed his children's sandbox, some cardboard, and a bit of gray paint into the desert planet Tatooine. One of his kids' small shovels served to produce R2D2's tracks, while a few steps in Scott's flip-flops created C-3PO's footprints.

Death Threads

Abby Davis (crafter, artist, and Skull-a-Day co-editor) wove the following Death Star remix using chalk and scrap fabric from making the quilts (inspired, perhaps, by her recent "Woven Skull").

The Power of Remix

We are pleased to share the news about Freehand Profit's exclusive Star Wars Remix submission, "All Day I Dream of Stormtroopers." Earlier this week, it sold for $2,125 on eBay!

Congrats to Freehand Profit and the new owner of this awesome helmet.

Now that's an impressive demonstration of the power of remix!

Stamptroopers

Chase (Tumblr) remixed his eraser into something far more sinister: a Stamptrooper! Bet the empire wished the rebels could have been (ahem) erased this easily.

Jawa Burgers

Charlton Yu (of Everything Burger) showed his love of burgers by remixing the following into two of the most adorable Jawas we've ever seen. Apparently, the Jawa ion blaster is a side dish sold separately...

R2Pin2

Emma Beddows remixed R2D2 from some thumbtacks and string. Remember that animated short, "R2D2 - The Tacky Years?" Nope, neither do we...

All Day I Dream About Stormtroopers

Freehand Profit completely remixed some Adidas sneakers exclusively for SWR, and the result is a kicking new Stormtrooper style of head gear. This piece belongs to a body of work called "The Branding Wars," and it was made specially for Star Wars Remix.

And yes, you can actually wear it! In fact, you can own it, as it's being sold on eBay - for more information, please check out this post at The Hip Hop Nerd.

Death Yarn

Scott Walker remixed his office space into a memorable scene from Episode IV (and he thinks he's going to keep it that way!).

Star Wars + Cardboard = WANT

Mat Harris showed off his design skills by recycling cardboard into these amazing creations. We think he has a job at Kuat Drive Yards if he wants one! For more awesomeness, you can check out the rest of Mat's portfolio.

Thank You!

Our first week of remixes is coming to an end, and all we can say is THANK YOU!

We have been impressed not only with the reactions of everyone to SWR, but we're also getting some amazing submissions. We're thrilled you're as excited about SWR as we are, and we're looking forward to bringing you more remixes soon.

Our original plan was to post two new images a week, but we went a bit overboard this week after all the requests for more remixes. Starting next week, we'll post new remixes each Tuesday and Thursday (and maybe some extra goodness in between if the Force aligns with us).

In the mean time, thanks for jumping on board and answering the call to remix your world!

Princess Leia "Spice" Series

Noah Scalin (of Skull-A-Day fame) cooked up the following goodness after asking the question, "What would Leia look like after a Spice Mines of Kessel run...?"

Darth Lamp

Kurt Marquart (no stranger to DIY projects) remixed quite a few everyday items into a cool rendition of Vader.

Crayola Force

Steve Thompson (of Red Tettemer) turned these Crayons into colorful remixes of C-3PO, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, and a Stormtrooper (perhaps the unlucky TK-429?).

Twist TIE Fighter

Charlton Yu (of Everything Burger) remixed something we tend to throw away at the first chance - the common twist tie - into a work of art.
